2011 WAKSA Charity Downwinder for Redkite - 27th Nov 2011

Looking to pick up a massive new TV for home? Once again, it's time to shake the can and raise funds for Redkite, supporting children and young people through the cancer journey.

In order to put yourself in the running for a brand new 55' Samsung LCD 'smart tv' WAKSA members are encouraged to register for the event through the Every Day Hero site and start raising money. The kiter who raises the most funds by mid-day Sunday 27th November will win this sensational TV. WAKSA greatly appreciates the asisstance The Good Guys Osborne Park has provided with this prize.

Bringing even more fun to a fun day on the water, KiteSurf SUP has generously donated a Shinn board to the kiter who has the best costume on the day, and the team that raises the most will get to stuff their faces with a great meal or two at Lemons Cafes in Claremont and Cottesloe!

As in past years, the downwinder will commence at either Leighton or City Beach (depending on skill and endurance levels) and will finish at Scarborough with a sausage sizzle for participants and supporters afterwards. Stay tuned for more details over the coming weeks.
