The WAKSA State Wave Titles are fast approaching – November 15/16 or November 22/23, so its time to start preparing. One of our objectives is to make sure the surfers know how the comps will be run and judged so they can compete in and practice for the comps effectively. So we have set out the judging criteria and some comments, to help you in your preparation.
Compete against all the top riders in West Oz or come watch the best wave riders in the state.

Originally WAKSA was founded to promote safe kite boarding practices and provide a single contact point for state and local government to ensure beach access. This has been extended to work with all Kite Boarding stakeholders where possible to progress our sport. Recent projects including the Kite Boarding Be Safe campaign with the Department of Sport and recreation (DSR) and Surf Life Saving WA is one such example. Other efforts can’t be discussed openly due to commercial or personal sensitivities.
All went well with the WAKSA Freestyle Jam yesterday. Special thanks to Drew Norton for his event manager skills in making it all happen, along with our volunteers and judges for their help on the day.
Finally a big thank you to Kiteracing Oceanics event for their sponsorhip.
