SUBSIDISED FIRST AID TRAINING FOR SPORT AND RECREATION VOLUNTEERS

Through the Community Sports First Aid Training Project (CSFATP), sport and recreation volunteers can receive a 50 percent subsidy to complete a one-day First Aid Training Course.

Training courses are being run through Royal Life Saving WA and a range of dates and venues have been scheduled. <<MORE INFORMATION>>

WAKSA and Windsurfing WA are again hosting a joing end of season party for all the wind junkies out there.

Sunday 18th December 2011 saw the running of the second Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton Kite Race.

Just over one hundred kiters took to the waters off Rottnest for the 2.30pm race but with light winds and a few competitors having gear problems at the start, not everyone made it all the way across Gage Roads.

Saturday 12th November saw over 50 competitors and just as many family, friends and supporters make the trek  to Wedge Island for the 2011 State Wave Titles.

In what proved to be variable and light winds competitors battled it out in an exhausting series of heats for five and half hours. As an indication of the growth in support and popularity in wave riding, for the first time a number of women kiters also competed on Saturday.
