Course Racing Round 1 Wrap Up Featured
Round 1 - Melville Beach - Sunday 23rd October
Unfortunately the wind Gods were not on our side, with the exception of about 20 minutes, when everyone got excited, pumped up and enjoyed a glorious ten minutes kiting before the wind disappeared for the remainder of the afternoon!
That said, the turnout and interest was excellent and the array of kit on offer to use from Airborne, was impressive. Alot of conversation was had around some of the top end race boards on display; not least of all Jono's lethal looking missile...and we are talking boards here!
Thanks should go to Damo and Ian and their team who provided the boards and rescue boat - even laying a course in anticipation of the wind holding.
We look forward to the next event which is planned for Sunday 13th November, also at Melville Beach. Watch this space as we may move it to the ocean if the wind is looking light.
